The Arran Coastal Way
Walking Holiday in Scotland
On this walking holiday around the coastal path of the Scottish Island of Arran, see castles, caves, standing stones and a variety of wildlife. Situated in the sheltered waters of the Firth of Clyde, the Isle of Arran is the most southerly and the most accessible of all the Scottish islands. Just a short ferry ride across the Firth of Clyde it is a favourite destination for hikers throughout the year.
The Arran Coastal Way is a continuous 65 mile circular walking trail around this beautiful Scottish island, often described as “Scotland in Miniature”. The north of Arran is ruggedly mountainous with granite peaks and deep glens resembling the best Scottish Highland scenery, whereas the south of Arran is gentler with low lying farmland, woodland and moorland.
